Chiropractic, the most widely used form of alternative medicine, is based on the fact that the human body is a self-healing, self-regulating system that functions better when all parts are in alignment.
What to expect
What are adjustments and what is the benefit?
Dr. Mackenzie offers hands-on patient care out of her cozy adjusting space in downtown Easton, PA. During a chiropractic adjustment, she "adjusts," or restores movement, to stiff/restricted joints throughout the spine and extremities. While this enhances nervous system function, it also improves local joint health by stimulating the flow of fresh synovial fluid into the joint. This fluid lubricates the joint, nourishes the bone and disc, and is a key aspect in preventing degenerative arthritis.
During the adjustment process, which takes about 10-15 minutes, she will also stretch and balance certain muscles for a more effective, lasting adjustment.
